Print Operator

Imperial Communications

August 2018 - Current • New Berlin, Wisconsin

Skills: Illustrator, Photoshop, Keen eye for detail, Project appraisal

Imperial Communications services many high profile, globally recognized brands in delivering storefront displays, packaging of convention booth visuals, and other promotional assets. While this was a tangent from my previous job in 3D art, most of the principles of learning new software, time management, and problem solving helped me through what might have been an otherwise very rocky start. Illustrator and Photoshop are regularly used in various steps along the way to a completed deliverable alongside machine control and “ripping” software before printing. I was regularly tasked with creating dielines and product packaging for internal testing and client concepts.

Artist

April 2012 - December 2017 • Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Skills: 3D Studio Max, PhotoShop, NAOS Game Engine, HTML, Customer Support

A small team of game developers building and sustaining a truly multi-platform space simulator MMO, Vendetta Online. My job changed daily from 3d modelling, 2d material editing, 2d design including email and promotional deliverables, minor scripting, and customer support tasks. Communication was also key with all of us relying on each other to update assets and hand them off or knowing what tasks needed to be completed within hours/minutes of needing them.

I also created digital effects with After Effects, masking and tracking/Rotoscoping, in Hurlbut Visuals' "The Ticket".

Smaller, short term projects include animating and re-texturing 3D assets for advertisements, as well as editing assets for video production backdrops and layers.
